TOPIC: If you use Powershells, check them.

Re: If you use Powershells, check them. 5 years ago #8141

I rotate my rear 1/2 inch, but I have two extra bolts in the boot, one in toe and one in rear to stop any further rotation. My point was I was told a dead straight rear would help my offside. It did, but my onside was terrible.

Yes the Hardshell tend to Crack and to add the tape sounds good, before you use the tape for cracks in the boots. Try this and it works very well. First inspect the boots for cracks very close. If you see a crack, find the very end of the crack and use a drill bit (1/4" or smaller and drill a hole in front of the crack. This is called a drill stop. What it does is stop the Crack from going any further. The cracks tend to fall in the thin spots of the molded areas and then you can use the tape as suggested. I didn't ever use tape but it can't hurt. The main thing is to inspect the boots very closely because they can be hard to find. I hope this helps.

As you get back on the water after a Winter off, let me remind you to check your bindings well.
