TOPIC: Handle guards

Handle guards 1 year, 1 month ago #9475

I was wondering what your methods were for attaching a handle guard to your handle. I recently fell and put my arm in the handle. Luckily nothing too serious came of it (a pretty gross bruise and a couple weeks off)

but it did prompt me to order a handle guard. Is there a better way than zip ties? I hate the look and zip ties usually have a sharp edge on them. Was thinking of trying to fid a piece of rope through the handle to attach. So what's your methods?
The most important thing is to have fun.

Wow, that looks nasty.

Did you look under "Helpful Tips" on the left side of the screen to order a sheet of HDPE ? A sheet big enough for three panels is only a few dollars.

I like to use zip ties. You can get rid of the sharp plastic end cuts with a file or metal emery board.

You can lace it on with different kinds of KEVLAR LINE or Spectra line.

Paracord works well. Eliminates the sharp edges of zip ties. You can get stretchy or non stretch in various diameters and colors. Works well for me. I do a T style crossbar using paracord & medical / tygon tubing as a stiffener.

Heal quick.
